Frequently Asked Questions

What is Time Line Therapy®?

Time Line Therapy® is a type of treatment used to guide clients in identifying and releasing negative internal programming patterns at the subconscious level.

Think of your life as a twining of interconnected points of experiences.

Both good and bad, these experiences shape us and create the patterns we follow in our life as well as in our relationships and careers. In order for us to come to terms with our past we need to dive into the basic programming and restructure it.

In order to grow and better yourself you have to understand the blockages and the scars from your past experiences. Only then you can truly reach your potential and become a better version of yourself

Time Line Therapy® mainly focuses on addressing the five major negative emotions: anger, sadness, hurt, fear, and guilt.

Therapy sessions aim to discover one’s limits which stem from personal past experiences. During Time Line Therapy®, these internal patterns are transformed and replaced by new positive learnings…

The Life Pattern of the individual is created using imagination to create a visual photo album of past and future experiences which are perceived in a unique way by one’s unconscious mind.

Time Line Therapy® is a highly liberating and calming experience as you move past all limiting beliefs and personal roadblocks.

During the process, a person is guided to access specific memories at the subconscious level and learn how to disconnect from the negative feelings associated with those memories.

It replaces the negative patterns with positive and empowering ones. This serves as a new foundation with positive patterns, beliefs and affirmations.

How is coaching different from counseling and psychotherapy?
Coaching and psychotherapy are two very different techniques.

Coaching is more focused on helping you achieve your future goals, while psychotherapy tends to have more of a past and present focus. A life coach is someone who is trained to help you see clearly where you are today, then find ways to move forward towards your goals.

The biggest difference between coaching and counseling is the difference in approaches. Life coaches focus on creating a new life path to achieve certain goals. They help you introspect and help you find the solutions that work for you. They focus on the now and what next. Coaches focus on introspection and are action-oriented when it comes to resolving the issue.

They believe in giving the clients problem-solving skills rather than specific solutions to a problem. It helps the client handle and successfully adapt to any other situation and stress the client may face in the future. They work with you to identify the problem, set goals to resolve the problems, and create a path to achieve the goals.

What can I expect from my first coaching session?

The first coaching session is sometimes called an intake session, because as a new client we will discuss your goals, needs, and wants. We will discuss how you operate, what you can expect from coaching, etc. Your first coaching session is primarily all about clarifying how you will work together as coach and coaches – what commitments are expected from both sides, including the style of coaching (e.g., how does the coaches wish the client to respond if they fall behind on their goals, how challenging do they want you to be?), ‘rules’ regarding missed or late arrivals to sessions and we will address issues of confidentiality, etc. This stage is crucial as it forms the foundation of a relationship where there is trust and respect on both sides and firmly places both of you as equal partners in this relationship.

Does life coaching work?

Many of the most successful names in the world have worked with a life coach: Oprah, Serena Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, Hugh Jackman, and Bill Gates.  These celebrities have all exalted the services of a life coach.

Numerous studies show that life coaching is effective by demonstrating moderate and positive impacts on individual-level performance and skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes, and goal-directed self-regulation.

Is it worth the investment?

99% of people interviewed by the International Coaching Federation about the effectiveness of life coaching indicated that the experience was rewarding. Of this population

96% stated they would do it again

65% stated that working with a coach helped them with work performance

80% stated it improved their self-confidence.

Will it take a long time to see the results?

At the beginning of coaching, it is helpful to meet weekly a few times, to get into a routine and form habits. At this stage, you and your coach are digging into your inner and external obstacles, and you’re learning new and exciting things about yourself every week.

This self-discovery process lays the foundation for the action-oriented work to come. Most people get what they need out of working with a Life Coach in between 9-18 sessions. Highly motivated people, “active learners” can go through the process more quickly. It all depends on how determined you are to reach your goals.

What is career coaching?

Career coaching is valuable in many ways. You get personalized, expert advice that is tailored specifically to you. Coaching will give you the tools you need to fine tune your career path or to refine your next career step. Coaching will help you plan a  clear path towards success.

Your coach will give you tools to assess your current career situation, identify your strengths and weaknesses as well as your differentiating factors and identify potential skills gaps. Furthermore they will recommend actions to fill them.

With a career coach, you will have well-defined, realistic goals, and a clear action plan. This will make it easier to organize yourself and work towards your career goals. You get to test new ideas and messages in a safe environment.

Career coaching is a fantastic opportunity to test and improve your pitch. With the help of an expert, you will be able to craft a compelling story that resonates with recruiters and address potential pitfalls in mock interviews.

You will gain the confidence needed to build smart strategies and will prove you’re the best candidate for any role.

How can career coaching help me?

Career coaching will help you develop the skills and techniques to solve any conflicts regarding your career.  Furthermore, it will help you perfect your existing skills. After going through a career the coaching program, you should be able to:

  • Understand your professional environment  and increase your potential.
  • Gain career confidence
  • Be able to pitch yourself in a compelling manner
  • Plan your next career step and how to work towards it
  • Highlight your strengths and minimize your weaknesses

Your job is to use them as a guide and mentor to make long-lasting changes in your professional life, to position yourself for success, and to make the most out of your skills and knowledge to meet your career goals. You must be  accountable for your career decisions.

Coaching only works if you let it. Your coach cannot come with you to interviews, nor can they find you a job or rewrite that  CV for you. Your coach will assist you with your career challenges and job application process but at the end of the day you hold the key to your success. Be prepared to take action!

Your coach will make sure your projects are solid by challenging your ideas. They will do it until you feel comfortable with your choices and your next career step. It is important to question your goal to make it consistent. You must always be open to challenges!

Typically, we follow an established coaching model (e.g., GROW or CLEAR) focused on one’s strengths. Utilizing a goal-setting process and most often they actively emphasize increasing an individual’s strengths rather than highlighting and addressing gaps, while taking note to not ignore developmental areas.

At Lea we are aware that no two clients are the same, and we base all of our  decisions on our personalized programs  and tailored to where  the client is
